His strong business development and professional skills in process solutions, innovation strategy, and market expansion have served him well in his current role as President and Managing Director of BHS-Sonthofen Inc., a subsidiary of BHS-Sonthofen GmbH. BHS is a manufacturer of reacting, mixing, filtration, and drying technologies.
Barry Perlmutter has published and presented extensively worldwide on the theory and applications for the chemical, pharmaceutical, and energy/environmental industries and has been responsible for introducing many European companies and technologies into the Americas marketplace. He has over 35 years of technical engineering and business marketing experience in the field of solid-liquid separation including filtration, centrifugation, and process drying. Most recently, for BHS, he is managing the introduction of the AVA-GmbH vertical and horizontal technologies into the Americas for turbulent mixing, reacting and drying of wet cakes, powders and process slurries to “bone-dry” powders.
